Dogs

People frequently ask if they can bring their dogs with them. We welcome well-behaved dogs on a lead who are kept under control, on a short lead.

On a completely different note, Attadale Gardens is going green - when you visit with your dog, you will find facilities to encourage you to dispose of dog waste efficiently and cleanly.  Please use the freely offered biodegradable bags and dispose of them neatly in the newly created composting site as you leave the gardens.  Two sites have been created, conveniently located just before you rejoin your car in either car park.

Visitors  are kindly reminded that dogs must be kept on a short lead while in the gardens.

RHS Partner Garden of the Year Finalist for Scotland

We are delighted to learn that once again we were chosen as the finalist in Scotland by our visitors in 2023. You can read more about all of them here on the RHS website

The 2023 competition invited visitors to vote for their favourite ‘Feel Good’ garden in recognition of the health and wellbeing benefits we get from visiting gardens.

To quote some of them,

"Vistas to die for and it's beyond magical and imaginative.”

"A beautiful, inspiring and clever garden”

"It’s a bit wild, filled with unexpected art, spooky in some spots, deliciously scented in others and it’s run entirely by women.” We’re not sure Nick Young would be so pleased to read that!

Helen Feary presents the 2021 award to the gardening team.
