“Highly recommended for anyone who likes gardens. Is not a classical garden that shows lots of different plants and flowers. It is more an imaginative creation of different rooms and environments. Bridges, waterways, etc. The farm Highland cattle looks to graze on the lawn without fences. Until you go closer and see a ditch and a wall that keeps the cows in the right place. I would have had time to sit and read or fix any of all seats in the different rooms that were available.”

“Lying beside Loch Carron on the way to Skye from Inverness, Attadale makes a really convenient, gorgeous and relaxing place to take a break. Beautiful, tranquil gardens in a stunning natural setting. The range of plants would keep a plant specialist happy, but there is also added interest in the form of attractive sculptures and the whole layout shows that it has been designed by an artist - a lovely, peaceful place to wander around. Excellent coffee and cake available from a do-it-yourself tea shop; loos nearby; ample parking.”

“A beautiful garden in the most beautiful part of Scotland (with the islands of course), a discreet and wonderful welcome, people who seem happy to live there .... what more! must enjoy quietly, this is not a museum it’s alive, it’s not perfect it’s alive ... go for it !!! The cheesecake with strawberries is just exquisite! Simple but good sandwiches.”

“We visited on a very wet day but we were amazed by the extent of the collection from all round the world. I’d expected more formal layouts but we enjoyed walking around the natural settings. Bearing in mind the weather, we didn’t linger but we spent approx 2hrs in the gardens. We drove here because we weren’t sure if we could fit in our visit with the afternoon train timetable from Kyle, but actually I think it would have worked out nicely. By driving were able to easily visit the nearby Carron Restaurant after walking round the gardens :-)”
